Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Addis Ababa – Arbaminch

• Morning departure from Addis Ababa via the Great Rift Valley.

• Stop at Lake Ziway for birdwatching and photography.

• Continue to Arbaminch, the gateway to the South.

• Overnight in Arbaminch.

Day 2: Arbaminch – Konso – Jinka

• Visit the Konso people, UNESCO World Heritage site, known for their terraced agriculture and unique wooden carvings (waka).

• Drive to Jinka through beautiful highlands and valleys.

• Overnight in Jinka.

Day 3: Jinka – Mago National Park – Turmi

• Morning excursion to Mago National Park to visit the Mursi tribe, famous for their lip-plate culture.

• Proceed to Turmi, home of the Hamer tribe, known for bull-jumping ceremonies and elaborate hairstyles.

• Overnight in Turmi.

Day 4: Turmi – Omorate – Turmi

• Drive to Omorate, cross the Omo River by local boat to visit the Dassanech tribe, agro-pastoralists living by the riverbanks.

• Return to Turmi for cultural interaction with the Hamer people.

• Overnight in Turmi.

Day 5: Turmi – Arbaminch – Addis Ababa (Flight)

• Drive back to Arbaminch and take a domestic flight to Addis Ababa.

• Evening traditional farewell dinner and transfer to airport for departure.
