Day 1: Addis Ababa – Harar via Dire Dawa
Morning flight from Addis Ababa to Dire Dawa.
Drive from Dire Dawa to Harar (approx. 1 hour).
Check-in at your hotel in Harar.
Afternoon guided walking tour of the old walled city (Harar Jugol): visit mosques, shrines, Harari houses, and colorful markets.
Evening: Experience the famous Hyena feeding ceremony.
Overnight in Harar.
Day 2: Full Day Harar Exploration
Breakfast at the hotel.
Visit the Arthur Rimbaud House Museum and the Harari Cultural House to learn about Harar’s history and architecture.
Explore the traditional Harari market and try local coffee at one of the original Harar coffee houses.
Visit Emir Nur’s Tomb, religious shrines, and the ancient city walls.
Afternoon visit to Khat market (Aweday), the center of Ethiopia’s khat trade.
Overnight in Harar.
Day 3: Harar – Dire Dawa – Addis Ababa
Morning drive back to Dire Dawa.
Short visit to Dire Dawa city, known for its European-style railway station and old markets.
Transfer to the airport for your flight back to Addis Ababa.
End of the tour.
